Sam Rayburn Reservoir, in the heart of the east Texas Piney Woods, is the largest lake within the Texas borders with over 750 miles of shoreline covering 114,500 acres in Angelina, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Sabin and San Augustine Counties.

Predominant fish species include Largemouth bass, Crappie, Catfish, and White bass.
